Edge Joining Foot Low Shank
Edge Joining Foot Low Shank
Item #: EJFLS
A metal guide in the center front of this foot is the key to joining trims, laces, and more ... plus expertly quilt using the stitching in the ditch method.
The metal guide allows you to easily butt and join two smaller trims, etc., as you sew, yet the stitch area is completely free of any metal.
Achieve perfectly aligned edges and perfectly balanced stitches every time!
Another use for this clever foot is to quilt a quilt sandwich of quilt top, batting, and backing together by "stitching in the ditch".
"Stitching in the ditch" means to sew in the well or groove of a seam on the right side of a quilt project, stitching through all thicknesses.
You'll find this inconspicuous stitching especially helpful for quilting around quilt blocks and borders, plus for securing the underside of a binding!
Works with most sewing machines that use standard low shank feet.
