Richard shares insights into being a caregiver, and the blessings of support from family and close friends, during the almost four months Nancy was in Hospice care.

Readers learn the physical battles Nancy faced, especially during the last five years of 1 her life, while always retaining her faith and rising above it all.

Through it all, she continued to live her life as a daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, and Christian friend as she continued to fulfill her true calling as an educator and inspiration to the world around her.

In the end, though, this book Is not as much about Nancy as it is about her faith and the life she lived as she continually focused on her favorite Bible verse, Proverbs 3:5, "Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding."

Also included is a 26-minute DVD showcasing images and videos of Nancy's life and the vitality in which she lived and how we all should remember her.

I bought and read Nancys autobiography, Seams Unlikely, and, having met Nancy briefly at the Sewing Weekends, was captivated by not only her talent but her friendliness and her realness. I learned from her autobiography that we shared many things in our lives, from heritage and background to interests and even some physical problems. When Richard wrote The Rest of the Story I had to have and read it. Nancy was truly an inspiration, not only with her TV show and fun sewing techniques but also as a woman of faith and grace. She truly lived life to the fullest and set a beautiful example for all of us. My daughters have also read her autobiography and now Richards biography and grew up watching Sewing With Nancy. Now my granddaughter is watching Nancys shows and her I Sew for Fun book is becoming well-worn.
