Live In-Person Cherrywood Chop Suey Galaxy Quilt Top Class with Cheryl Karl at the Nancy Zieman Sewing Studio & Quilt Shop in Beaver Dam, WI

Join Cheryl for an exciting class of cutting and piecing a colorful colorblocked Chop Suey (disapearing 9-patch) Galaxy Lap Quilt Top with sumptuous Cherrywood hand dyed fabrics.

This quilt starts with nine-patches and quickly becomes more complex with a couple cuts—7 x 9 block layout.

Colorblocking is easy when you have hand-dyed Cherrywood gradation fabrics to work with!

Cherrywood has been hand-dyeing fabric for over 35 years, and they've perfected the rich, suede look of this gorgeous fabric.

Quilting and binding/finishing tips will be shared.

Class includes hand-dyed Cherrywood Galaxy fabrics for quilt top and pieced binding, Chop Suey Quilt Pattern, use of classroom rulers and tools, and everything you’ll need to make one Chop Suey Galaxy lap quilt top.

You'll supply backing and batting when finishing the quilting and binding process at home.

Stitch on a BERNINA B770 QE PLUS Sewing Machine.

Pattern designed by Karla Overland of Cherrywood Fabrics.

Approximate finished size: 51" x 65", a 7 x 9 block layout.

Bring a sack lunch or visit Great Harvest Cafe–two doors down, and bring an optional chair cushion & water bottle.
